Introducing
Darlene Miller Nixon is a native of Scottsburg, Indiana. However, she and her husband, Hubert, have called NE Georgia home for more than 20 years. The couple raised two daughters and now have six grandchildren.
Growing up in Southern Indiana in a small farming community, Darlene learned to love the outdoors, all God's creatures and to cherish writing about them.
While banking has been her profession for nearly 30 years, she seeks out opportunity to enjoy her passion for writing in a variety of ways. Besides her first novel "Singing Down the Preacher," she has written for local newspapers and most recently volunteers her God-given talent through motivational messages in the bi-monthly newsletter of Hart County Georgia's Habitat for Humanity affiliate.
Mrs. Nixon continues her work with Habitat for Humanity, as well as within the church where she and her husband are active members.
